The Role:

We have a full-time, permanent opportunity for a General Manager - Aquaculture to join our team based in Albany, WA.

As General Manager of Aquaculture, you will lead a senior leadership team across Production, Planning, Maintenance and Processing, ensuring all activities are coordinated and integrated across safety, planning, production, processing, maintenance and quality functions.

You will play a pivotal role in executing strategic initiatives, scaling operations, and delivering ambitious growth targets, while maintaining strong financial discipline, compliance, and a high-performance culture.


Key Responsibilities:
General Management of the Aquaculture production business will include:

  • Strategic Planning: Developing and implementing strategic plans for productivity improvements, expansion plans and implementing key performance indicator tracking tools.
  • Operational Oversight: Directing and controlling day-to-day operations across the functions or departments to scale up our operations and deliver the business plan growth targets.
  • Financial Management: Creating and managing budgets, forecasts, and resource allocation plans.
  • Leadership and Human Resources: Selecting, managing, and mentoring senior staff and departmental heads; fostering a strong work culture and ensuring safe working practices.
  • Quality and Compliance: Ensuring adherence to company standards for quality, food safety, and other relevant regulations.



Skills and Experience:
Essential:

  • Proven ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams.
  • Strong commercial acumen and business management skills.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification or applied experience in operations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Class C Drivers license.
  • National Police Clearance and pre-employment medical assessment.

Desired:

  • Commercial skipper’s qualification (exemption 38 or Coxswain equivalent)
  • Commercial diving qualification
  • Aquaculture, Agriculture or Marine industry experience, ideally in a leadership role.
  • Experience in data analysis and report writing
